Welcome to the Einstein's Daughters Website!

We're Einstein's Daughters, an all girls robotics team from San Diego, California. Our mission is to promote FIRST, inspire other students to get involved in robotics, and blow away stereotypes about girls in science and engineering.

We have been competing in the FIRST Tech Challenge for 4 years, and have qualified for and competed at the World Championship Tournament each season! The FIRST Tech Challenge is a high school robotics competition organized by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science & Technology), which was founded by Dean Kamen. He wants to encourage kids to be involved in activities that promote science, technology, and engineering at an early age. 

Last season, we were honored to be presented with the most prestigious award in the program, the Inspire Award. This award is given to the team with the best overall robot design, engineering notebook, community outreach, enthusiasm and gracious professionalism. We were so excited for the award, and can't wait to continue our efforts to spread the word of FIRST! 

We have been extremely busy since the World Championships last April!

Competitions: In January, we won the Inspire Award at the San Diego Regional Tournament and have qualified for the World Championships in Atalanta! We are now fine-tuning our robot as we prepare for the intense competition in April. (Want to help our team and our robot get to Atlanta? You can make a donation! "Hot Shots for Haiti": We have been hard at work at continuing the efforts of our non-profit organization, Robotics Inspiring Science and Engineering, or RISE. Through RISE, we created a fundraiser at the San Diego Regional Tournament called Hot Shots for Haiti (named after this year's competition). Parents and fans could pledge a donation for each point their team scored during the tournament, or give a flat donation. We raised over $1400 for an orphanage in Haiti through this
effort! We were also so excited to learn that another team continued the fundraiser at the Las Vegas Regional. The more donations, the better! Check out our other causes!

Robot Birthday Parties: At our outreach events, kids are so excited about the robots they get to drive. So we've started offering robot birthday parties! For a donation, we will come to the birthday party with robots and help run other party activities previously planned by the parents (games, cake, presents). Kids love to drive the robots!
