In order to better inform parents about the FIRST program, we hosted a Robotics Parents' Night at a local elementary school. We organized advertising, speakers, and activities, and made sure every level of FIRST was represented. The night was a smashing success and will undoubtedly become an annual event.

In February, Einstein's Daughers hosted a Parent's Night, organized to help give information on how to start a FIRST team. We invited representatives from all levels of FIRST, including the local FLL team that we mentored, the UC Row-Bots and the local FRC team, the Holy Cows. Our aim was to demonstrate to parents the great opportunities presented by FIRST and how children can get involved at all levels. We had speakers from each league share their experience and knowledge of how to start and run a team.

We encouraged parents to bring their children to the event as well. The kids drove our "ambassador bots," simple robots used to make the program accessible to kids. We also let them drive our competition robot from last season, Cookie. When it was time for the presentations, the kids were entertained with our original coloring book, "Roxie's FIRST Adventure".

Thank you to all those who attended the event and the guest speakers who helped share their love of the FIRST program!
